Prelude To War

Spiritually Elohim (God) desires for each one of us to become spiritual dynamos so we can stand Eph 6:13 up to Ha-Satan (the adversary). Satan may be the bully of the universe, but as children of Elyon (the Most Hight God) our Papa wants us to not only stand against him, but to be on the offensive. None of The Armor covers our backside, only the front. Elohim does not want you to allow Satan to continue taking advantage of you.

Here is what Yeshua (Jesus) tells us concerning how we are to live now that He has defeated the enemy. "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mark 16:17-18

There are times for all of us when we let our guard down. We lower our swords, our breastplates get taken off and our shields have holes in them. There is still hope. In the Name of Yeshua you CAN be an overcomer.

I’m not suggesting you go looking for demons to fight. But you don’t have to put up their knocking you down and causing confusion in your life with their disruptive actions. However, we are to take aim at our targets when they pop up their heads and live the victorious Christian life Yeshua paid for us to live.

For Yahweh (God) hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2Tim 1:7 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of Yahweh (God), which is in Messiah Yeshua our Adon (Christ Jesus our Lord). Rom 8:37-39

Now, before we begin with lessons on warfare, we must first prepare for combat. As I stated, only a fool would go into combat without being properly prepared. Yeshua tells us, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." Matt 10:16 To be wise is to be prepared. Being an Army Veteran of combat arms I can't help but see the similarities between war with man and war with spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. War is war. It brings to mind the Psalm of King David, 144:1 - Blessed be Yahweh (the LORD) my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

That being said, let us begin learning what Yahweh teaches us in His Word. We will begin with the lessons on the Whole Armor of Yahweh. Each lesson is only an outline. The lesson will be done on podcast. Remember, as with all things with Adonai (our Lord/Master), we are to continue learning, always. We will never master what He has to teach us, never. When we stop learning we stop growing. When we stop growing we stop teaching. When that happens we are no longer "living epistle." 2Cor 3:3

Our foundational lessons will be covering each piece of armor, one piece at a time. Begin by reading the following Scripture, Ephesians 6:10-18. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of Yahweh (God), that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of Yahweh (God), that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your 1 loins girt about with truth, and having on the 2 breastplate of righteousness; And your 3 feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the 4 shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the 8 helmet of salvation, and the 9 sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Yahweh (God): Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; emphasis mine, numbers are armor pieces, not verse numbers.

Want to put on the Whole Armour of Yahweh immediately. like Yeshua did? Follow the guidelines written by Yeshua’s brother Ya’acov (Jacob/James). Part of the verse is often quoted, leaving out the most important part. Submit yourselves therefore to Yahweh (God). Resist (oppose, set/stand against) the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 emphasis in parenthesis are mine, based on Strongs numbering of resist, #436.
